My First Week

My first week in New York was quite busy and exhausting.

The first couple of days were pretty crazy as I spent running around NY ordering furniture (hoping that it would be delivered as soon as possible), painting my room and doing a little house cleaning. After that I was locked inside my apartment waiting all day long for packages to arrive--definitely one of my least favorite things to do!

But by Friday (I arrived the previous Sunday) my room was looking fairly well put together. But more importantly it was looking like MY room--not someone else's. It was quite exciting to paint my room, put together furniture (even though that was really hard work!) and decorate!

Here are some photos of the progress I've made so far...

My room right after I arrived. It definitely wasn't fun sleeping on an air mattress or living out of bags--but what can you do?

The other end of my room...

After the painting! I've actually never painted a room before! I was impressed that it didn't turn out too bad! (sorry I combined a couple pictures...thats why the room looks a bit crooked).

haha...yes I made quite a mess

ahh...and then the bed arrived...I was very excited to not be sleeping on the air mattress anymore!

Wow, how exciting. If I visit NY, next year, perhaps I will hit you up for a brief tour :). I'm glad things are going well - when does work start? Take care! ~Sarah M.
